On your device
PROTOCOL GATE 2040.8 stores your campaign progress and audio settings only on your device. The current version contains no analytics SDK and no in-app purchases.
Advertising
The game is free and shows ads from Start.io (Start.io Inc.): a banner on the main menu and, from the game year 2026 on, at most one full-screen ad per game year after a half-year report. Ads never change your in-game money, health or survival odds.
To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, the Start.io SDK may collect and process your device's advertising ID, IP address (and the approximate location derived from it), device and network information (model, operating system, language, carrier), app information, diagnostics and your interactions with ads. Start.io processes this data under its own privacy policy: start.io/policy/privacy-policy. The game itself does not read or store this data.
Where the law requires consent (for example in the EEA and the UK), Start.io asks for it before showing personalised ads. You can limit ad personalisation, or reset or delete your advertising ID, at any time in your Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Google → Ads, depending on the phone).
Full version (planned for April 4, 2027)
A paid full version is planned for April 4, 2027, for $6.66 (prices in other currencies are set by each store). On Google Play it is bought through Google Play's billing system, and on Steam through Steam. The store handles the payment: we never see your card or other payment details.
To unlock the full version, and to restore it on a new device, the game receives only a confirmation from the store that you own it (for example, a Google Play purchase token). Refunds follow the refund policy of the store you bought from. The current version has no purchases; if these details change, this section will be updated before the full version is released.
Optional cloud backup
If you choose "Sign in with Google" in Settings, the game backs up your Ending Book (the endings you have reached, per character) to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), under a random Firebase user ID linked to your Google sign-in. Firebase Authentication, operated by Google, keeps the email address, name and profile photo URL of the Google account you use; the game itself does not read or store them. Nothing is uploaded unless you sign in. Your campaign saves and settings never leave your device.
Deleting your data
In the game, Settings → DREAM ARCHIVE BACKUP → "Delete cloud backup and account" deletes the backed-up data and the Firebase account. You can also ask us to delete it without the game: see Delete your account. Uninstalling the game, or clearing its storage, removes the saves on your device. For data held by Start.io, use the choices in its privacy policy or reset your advertising ID.
Fiction, not advice
All in-game money, investments and prizes are fictional and cannot be exchanged for real money. The game's future events are storytelling, not predictions, and nothing in it is financial or investment advice.
Age
The game is rated for adults (18+). It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect children's data.
Changes
If analytics or other data uses are added in a later version, or the purchase details above change, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
