About the game

The Soviet Union defeated Nazi Germany, then vanished in a single night in 1991. Decades later, artificial intelligence seemed to arrive all at once. PROTOCOL GATE 2040.8 is a survival strategy board game set in a fictional alternate history built around those two moments.

You know how August 2040 ends. No one else does. Starting on January 1, 2025, you live one life for fifteen years: build a home, save money, keep a family together, and decide how much of it to stake on a warning only you believe. Markets crash, borders close and breaking news rewrites the odds. Buy a bunker somewhere in the world, wait a year while it is built, and get inside before the gate closes.
